Testimony
Due to the exceptional spiritual influence my parents have had on my life since birth, I dedicated my life to Jesus Christ and asked His Spirit into my heart when I was five years old. The location was at the El Cajon Evangelistic Tabernacle, El Cajon, California on Washington and Avocado Streets. This is the church my parents built and pastored before I was born. It is now a Southern Baptist Convention church, and a fellowship of Shadow Mountain Church , pastored by Dr. David Jeremiah .

                                          I meant it then,
                                          And I mean it now;
                                          I have always lived it,
                                          Between then and now.

My parents, Stanford E. Linzey, Jr ., and Verna M. (Hall) Linzey, dedicated me to the Lord as a newly born infant and reared me in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

                      The Lord had a supernatural calling on my life,
                      And e're kept me from falling;

Amidst the most thunderious storms and strife,
                      From this rare, divine calling.

I have lived with impeccable morality all my life; and I have served equally with impeccable morality, honor, and distinction throughout my civilian and military career as an Armed Forces Chaplain and Officer for 24 years. I retired with an Honorable Discharge.

I have ministered alongside both of my parents, and served them and the Lord with great honor and pride.

When my father went to the hospital in January 2010 to have a tumor removed from his back, he never came home. He passed away within a month. I was with him daily and spent many nights by his side. My mother commended me highly.

Three nights before he passed away, the Lord woke me up in the middle of the night, each night, to pray for him and his preparation to pass on to his eternal reward. The doctors did not tell me he was going to pass away. The day before he passed away, I shared with him how he was going to be with his dear parents for all eternity and with the Lord. Still no one at the hospital told me he was passing away. However, he passed away the next morning, February 4, 2010.

Ten nights later, I had a dream. My mother and I were walking side by side in a park, and my father walked by in front of us, in a brown suit, white shirt and dark tie. He was in the prime of life. He turned and looked at me. I walked up to him, gave him a hug, and felt the hole in his back had been filled and healed. We said we loved one another. I backed away, turned and joined my mother, who was then 90 years of age.

At that time, I stepped up to the plate to move into my dear mother's house to be her honored road manager, chef, chauffeur, production manager, janitor, and continued singing partner. We were "The Linzey's" singing group, and had our individual singing, speaking, and writing careers as well. I took her to her own crusades overseas and in the continental United States. She had crowds of up to an estimated 20,000 people. She was my best friend. After a fall on July 1, 2016, she was recuperating nicely in the hospital, and was able to come home. I hired several caregivers to assist me in caring for my mother at home. On a return visit to have fluid drained from around her right lung, it appears that based on doctor's reports, she was given an overdose of anti-biotics, shutting down her organs and causing her to pass away on Veterans' Day, 2016. I lost my best friend and my ministry and singing partner.

I am grateful for the example my parents' set and the upbringing in the Lord they provided. i will never stray from that and am committed to honoring their legacies.

I am single and have never been married. Having fulfilled my responsibilities to my parents, I am still fulfilling my responsibilities to my Savior Jesus Christ, I am free to marry and am pressing on in the work before me.
